A Friend Forever

Sheba’s walk on this earth ended December 13, 1999.
During that walk she touched the hearts of so many others,
sharing the joy that she brought to me every day.
On Memorial Day 2000, Joni, Adam, Amanda and I took
Sheba to the park one last time. As we scattered her ashes
in the place she loved to run, we shared some of the
so many treasured memories she left us with.
We miss you girl

Me and Sheba![]() |
I got Sheba in June of 1990, she was two years old at the time. She was in the last cage at Lollipop Farm (The Humane Society) and you know where they go after that. She was so quiet while all the other dogs were barking and jumping around. She just looked at me with those big brown eyes and I knew she was the dog for me. It took her a long time to get used to the house. I actually had to teach her to bark when someone came to the door. Someone, somewhere must have been mean to this dog.She is the best dog in the whole world. She is so gentle and sweet, little kids come up to her and pet her, pull on her ears, jump on her, whatever, she doesn’t mind she knows they’re kids. If an adult were to do some of those things she’d be pissed, she knows the difference. She absolutely loves to go “walkies”. She doesn’t play catch with a ball or Frisbee or anything, but she does like to catch popcorn and stuff to eat. She does “Sit”, “Paw”, “Bark”, and “Give us a kiss”, usually all in a row if you’re offering a biscuit. She knows “walkies”, “ride in the car”, “go to the park”, “hungry”, “thirsty”, “biscuit”, “rabbit” (she loves to chase them), and her friends names “Max”, “Buster”, and “Sandy”. |
